A careless nutrition label got me a rejection notice
When I first built a supplement product page, I treated the nutrition label as a design element, assuming a pretty table would do. Then a channel review rejected me because the labeling image did not match regulation. To keep labeling clean, the ingredient composition had to be label-friendly from the start.

- Content-standard fit: composition whose content aligns with labeling standards keeps the surface clean.
- Simplified ingredient names: fewer ingredients make ingredient-name notation concise and cut typo risk.
- Sub-ingredient control: excipients and stabilizers are also labeled, so confirm them during composition.
Certification, regulation, and quality checks
Labeling is the core of regulation, so I checked it most carefully.
- Labeling-standard compliance: meet items and formats per health-functional-food labeling and advertising standards.
- Functionality-wording range: exclude functionality or disease-related expressions beyond the recognized range.
- Ad screening: keep page and ad copy consistent with the labeling.
- Label-image match: the actual package and the online label image must be identical to avoid rejection.

A realistic sense of cost
I will not assert numbers, but neglecting label design grew costs behind the scenes: redesign and reshoot from rejection, reprinting labels from labeling errors, and lost sales windows from review delays. Because labels and packaging are often printed at a minimum order, discovering a labeling error late turns the whole printed batch into a loss. So labeling was a cost-control point to fix before ordering, not something to patch later.
